We continue to raid the Mediterranean cuisine. The Shawarma (Arabic شاورما) or döner kebab (Turkish) or Gyros (Greek) is a dish originating in the Middle East consisting of thin slices of lamb, chicken or beef grilled on a vertical spit , consumed inside a pita bread with vegetables and other accompaniments.
