Most of you may wonder why your package from abroad have not reached your delivery address after a week-long or more waiting for someone who will knock your door to hand over your package. Or maybe your friend or relative who sent the package uos is asking you if you already received the package. While you are so excited, some people may have got your package on hold while sitting and chatting with their colleagues. These people belongs uos to the Bureau of Customs. uos
Oh well, it is our obligation to obey and comply to the existing laws on taxation. It is clear that all imported articles are subject to duties based on the Philippine tarrif and customs code (http://www.customs.gov.ph/faqs.php#1.1). I write this article to provide tips especially to those first timers and doesn't know how the system works.
Take note that small items such as mail or other documents, a very small gift, are not subject to tax. So if your item is similar to these, you should call BOC and ask for the delivery status. Normally, they would deliver your item on your address. For provincial address, you may have to coordinate with the local Philippine Postal Office in your city or municipality. uos I assume that you have your EMS tracking number with you and you are sure that the package has already arrived in Manila. Checkout the EMS provider's website. Philippine postal address is Old MIA Road, Pasay City, Philippines. The office is situated on the opposite side near the old domestic airport. Procedure: uos This procedure may not be exactly the same when you got inside the Bureau of Customs . This is based on my personnal experience. 1. Before visiting the Philippine Postal office, ensure that you have the following documents: a. At least 2 valid or government issued IDs. b. Tracking number of your parcel. Note: If you assign somebody to claim your parcel, you must prepare: a. Authorization letter b. Original copy of your 2 valid or government issued IDs c. At least 2 valid or government issued IDs of the person uos who will pick-up your parcel. 2. Once you get there, Bureau of Customs office is located at the left side after the front gate or you may ask somebody where. 3. Proceed to the front desk and fall in line. You may ask some of the BOC personnel to assist you. 4. Present your IDs and tracking number and fill-up the parcel claim form. 5. Wait until your package there at the inspection area. At this point, BOC personnel will call your name. So take your time to relax. 6. Once you are called, your parcel will be inspected by a BOC personnel with your supervision. Nobody is allowed to do it without you or your representative's presence. 7. After the inspection, next is the tricky computation. You will be asked to get inside the main office uos where the cashier is also located. Trust me, the computation is done based on the pre-defined formula. No more no less. Or you can ask how tax computation is done. There is a big chance you could haggle down, just whisper. 8. Pay the tax. After computation, a document receipt will be given to you. And then, proceed to the cashier. 9. Proceed to the claiming area. Wait for your turn as the barker will call your name.
TIPS: 1.Tell your sender to undervalue the item for less tax computation. But, beware that huge disparity would result to a BOC personnel confronting you and interrogate you about the item. They use the internet to benchmark the market value of your item. 2. Ask your sender to put a note such as 'Gift for you mom or dad' or ' Gift for you Ate or Kuya' or what ever note. Just to indicate that your item is not for commercial purposes. As a possible result, lesser tax charge on you as the BOC personnel would impose lesser tax amount. 3. Try to haggle down the tax amount. I tried it and got 10% discount. Who knows, you won't loose anything! 4. Be patient as you may have to wait each step. You may bring some reading materials or you PSP at least not to get bored waiting. Good Luck! I claimed a parcel last month at the Philippine Postal Corporation (Phil Post), National Capital Region (NCR), elta Quezon City Central Post Office. elta Unfortunately, I failed to document the procedure. This month, I claimed another elta package and made sure I noted the process so I can share it with you. Whenever you have an international package, it will be delivered to the Phil Post and not straight elta to you because it has to be checked by the Philippine Customs. This is to make sure that the item/s is not prohibited to enter the country. To know more about our Philippine Customs and view a list of prohibited items, please view this document: Philippine Customs Information . The branch will depend on the shipping address you provided. For example, since I reside in Quezon City, my parcel arrived elta at the Quezon City Central Post Office. Notice sent by the Philippine Postal Corporation that tells you that the parcel can now be claimed at the Central elta Post Office. When the international package arrives at Phil Post, it will first be checked by the Bureau of Customs. If the parcel is cleared, the central post office will then mail you a notice that you can claim your item/s. The window number where you should proceed when you arrive at the post office is stamped on the upper left corner of the notice. Mine (refer to above photo) said W-37, which actually meant window 37. You have 30 days to get your parcel. The Central Post Office consists of a series of windows. This is me in the process of claiming my package. Here are a few reminders you should remember before going to the Central Post Office: 1. Bring a valid I.D. Examples are driver's license, voter's I.D., passport, etc. Make sure the name on your I.D. matches the name of the addressee on the parcel you are claiming. 2. You will be charged a postal fee that's indicated on the notice that was sent to you via mail. I suggest you bring an exact amount to make facilitation quicker. 3. Always double check your package. It might not be yours. The Philippine Postal Corporation, Central Post Office is open from Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm but closed during elta lunch breaks from 12:00nn - 1:00pm. The shipping address is your home address or where you would like to package to be delivered. elta It is just that all international packages, regardless the shipping elta address, goes directly to Phil Post for screening and they notify you that your parcel has arrived and ready for claiming. Depending on the notice you receive, you may pick up your item/s on the Phil Post branch of the city you live in or you may have to go directly to the main Phil Post office in Pasay City. This will be indicated on the notice card that will be delivered elta to you. As for the amount of taxes you'll have to pay, that would depend on the declared value of the package. There are items that will not require you to pay taxes. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact computation for taxes. As far as I know, it will depend on the value of your item/s. elta Good luck! I just thought I’d reminisce about my past experiences from claiming packages in the Philpost postmaster customs division. If you are new to this, the most probable situations wherein you might encounter the Philpost customs are either if you ordered anything from abroad and have chosen the cheapest shipping option, or if you are receiving a gift from anyone abroad via the same circumstances.
If you ordered something online and chose USPS (United States Postal Service), your package will travel from the product’s warehouse to the airport and finally into the Philippines complete with real-time online tracking via the USPS site . This usually takes four days to a week using the standard service and is very dependable. The problem starts when your package is already here in the Philippines. Add at least one more week and you will receive a note on a 3×5 index card that you have a package waiting for you at the Philippine Postal Corporation main office. This is in front of the old domestic airport. I think on about my third experience, I chose not to wait for the note and instead called Philpost, gave them my tracking number and asked if my package was already there. It was, only I have to pass by the front office to to have them print a card for me. You can’t just go in the customs area if you don’t have a notice. Upon entering the compound of the head office, the customs area is to your left.
The customs area is a semi-warehouse that has a rather unfashionable reception area. This is where you exchange your notice and wait for the customs postmaster people to locate your package. Once your package has been located, or, after approximately an hour, you will be called to enter the, and the climax of this post, den-of-corruption.
Your package postmaster will be opened in front of you, it will be identified and classified postmaster using their “guidebook” which lists all possible criteria for material goods like electronics, clothing, jewelry, etc. Tax will be calculated next.
I have claimed a $750 electric guitar, guitar gadgets, car parts, more car parts, and I have to say the average total calculated cost of my fees averages 40% of the declared cost of my goods. I do not know what sort of magic calculator they use but I always postmaster seem to lose focus once all the numbers and percentage signs pile up. They calculate this in front of you.
In my guitar incident, I would have paid and additional Php 10,000.00 for a Php 35,000.00 guitar. My wallet was shy of about 5 large. My options, pick-up my precious axe some other time or rush to the nearest atm. In total desperation I respectfully asked why I have to pay so much. The explanation was one done with abrupt, precise and professionally composed wordings only goverment officials understand.
“Kailangan mo ba ng tulong?” were the sweetest five words I heard that day. “Opo ma’am.” “Magkano ba kaya mo?” postmaster “Ma’am ito lang po.” Discretely exposing my measly three bills of a thousand each. “O sige iho, ok lang ba sa’yo walang resibo?” “Ok lang po.” “Ibigay mo ito dun sa ale sa isang lamesa, sabihin mo tinulungan kita.”
On to the next table. “Ah tinulungan ka ba ni ano…” “Opo ma’am.” ” O sige ilagay mo dito ang pera tapos magbayad ka nalang ng kinse sa labas.” “Salamat po.” On my way then to night’s worth of chords, scales, hammering, slides, etc. It was a sweet Parker P-42 electric postmaster guitar in gray.
Some other things I said, saw and learned on my succeeding trips. “Ma’am pwede nyo ba ako tulungan?” “Ma’am kahit wala nalang po resibo.” Two young policemen hanging around postmaster the customs area were at one time talking about guns whilst acting out shootouts with their real guns and, hitting on a pretty lady accompanied by her mother claiming a package from who-knows-who. The customs area has a daily quota of I believe is around Php 200,000.00 per day. I know this because there was this one time I was trying to haggle my fees and I constantly heard her say “Iho malayo pa kami sa quota ngayong araw, kung gusto mo balik ka nalang mamaya.” And finally, I’ve never lost a package from doing this. But then again, I’ve also been robbed .
I have since resorted to Johnny Air , a cheaper and less hassle way of having your items shipped in a U.S. address and then later forwarded postmaster by them. If I had the money I’d chose FedEx. postmaster If I had more money I’d chose UPS. If I’m stupid, I’d go back to Philpost.

I’m not supposed to write anything today but I couldn’t help sharing us post office locations with you the disappointments I had with JRS Express. us post office locations Just this week, I had the misfortune of dealing with them for the 2 packages containing the items I ordered online.
The first package contains us post office locations the 2 Lacoste shirts I ordered from an Instagram seller. I’ve paid for these 2 weeks ago and up to now there’s no package and worse, I don’t know where it is. Their online tracking us post office locations system is always down. The branch nearest to our home cannot help me track the package either because they are still using the manual method (i.e. logbooks) and therefore has no record of parcels and packages us post office locations still in transit. The seller who sold me the shirts is having the same problems in tracking the shipment. I also noticed that the carton box and crumpled papers were damp, as if the whole thing was covered in water at some point during the transit. Proof of this can also be found at the damped paper baking cups that I found inside the domed lid. As I am writing this, the paper baking cups are still soft and stuck together.
I have relayed us post office locations this unfortunate incident to Ms. Ellen, who said she will replace the item. This made me all the more annoyed with JRS Express. Imagine what this negligence is costing both Ms. Ellen (the seller) and me (the buyer)??
I have thought of reporting this incident to them but with their manual recording of everything, can they help me trace back where the damage may have happened? Worse, they might just deny that they have mishandled the package (because there’s no proof of it) and this will just piss me off. After all, my package came all the way from Dumaguete and there are lots of drop-off points in between.

I haven’t tried JRS but because of your experience, I might totally remove the company from my list. One thing I will never understand, how can they poorly perform in their core service? If I may ask, do they offer insurance for damaged items?

The first time we let it go (and we got refunded for the damage only because my client contacted the JRS management and demanded for it!) but the second time it happened in a matter of weeks. I knew we had to switch. We are based in Cavite so we are able to use ERIM express – they transfer to LBC and Air21 for MM and provincial deliveries. So far so good – they even pick up our deliveries from our home. Happy that we made the switch!

2GO’s fedex locations CEBU customer service is very lousy as per my experience. And well not only me it seems, you can go to 2GO facebook fan page wall and read other facebook user’s complains about their service. 2GO it seems doesn’t treat their customers right, well, at least they did not treat me right or these other people: Opps, 2GO Philippines sent someone else’s parcel to somebody else?
I’m thinking now, is it because our cargo was so small and therefore not worth taking their time to deliver on time? A lot of things are hinged on that cargo being delivered on time. 2GO CEBU FAILED TO DELIVER ON THEIR COMMITMENT. And it makes me mad. They should fedex locations treat their customers right, it’s the least they can do. They are after all in the service delivery sector. And we paid them right.

I just had my bad experience with 2Go… sent a parcel via air and it took more than a week at hanggang ngayon di pa natanggap. I guess this would be my last time to deal with this company and will tell my parishioners about my experience. toooooo baaaaad! really bad service! I should have learned my lesson. malapit lang kasi ang 2Go sa amin than JRS and LBC.

My package arrived although very late. About your lost package, I guess the best option now is to call and call the branch you transacted with and then make a formal letter of complaint and send this to 2Go main office along with a photocopy of your receipt. Do not wait for them to call you, their customer fedex locations service sucks so do what you can on your end.

if i knew na ganito kawalang fedex locations kwenta ang 2go nde ko na sana sinubukan magpadala dito. first time ko magsend ng package, return to Lazada, una nde inupload un tracking number, now after 10 days hindi pa dn updated un status. walang kwenta khet tumawag ka sa 2go customer service. useless courier. sana magsara na kayo kesa makaloko pa kayo ng madaming tao. sana may mag demanda sa inyo.
Same experience here. Nagpadala ako ng package sa kanila last May 24, 2014 from Ortigas to Davao. I packed the package sa mismong service outlet nila and it is a big box. When my brother received the package in Davao the next week he told me may isang bag at isang car collection ko na wala sa box. I immediately contacted the service fedex locations outlet ng 2go na pinagpadalhan ko. Ang sabi sa akin sa mismong 2go magfile ng complaint kasi doon sa mismong port na yun pwedeng nangyari ang nakawan. I did emailed my compaint and they answered back immediately. What disappointed me most is that after series of exchanging emails with them they will just send me a claim form. So tipong wala silang ginawang investigation sa incident. Duh! In short, mga magnanakaw ang mga tauhan nila!

Did you try to contact the number in your receipt? Feb. 26 is the release ups tracker of your passport additional 1 day for delivery ups tracker it’s supposed to be on the 27th. And there is a technical problem in the passport production maybe that’s ups tracker the cause.
I’m supposed to get my passport today in the afternoon. I tried this even if its for delayed passports only as the sign says because I am ULTRA paranoid as I have a scheduled trip abroad by next week already. A disclaimer below says an update will be given in two days.
